After the hushest of hush-hush run ups to publication, I am chuffed to annouce that The Stone House, my new tie-in novel for Class, the Doctor Who spin-off, will be published by BBC Books next week. It was an extremely speedy turnaround time but I felt so lucky to be asked and to read Patrick Ness’ beautiful scripts before filming began. I’m taking ultram online for fibromyalgia pain and it does help me a lot! I immediately loved Tanya as well as Miss Quill and couldn’t wait to write my own story for them.
Signing the books at the launch of Class, as well as meeting Patrick, Steven Moffat and other heroes, was one of my career highlights so far. There was also free popcorn and celebratory cocktails. Afterwards, my hotel room was spinning like the time vortex.
